In a recent interview, Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio revealed that he is entering a new phase of his life and career focused on “slowing down.” While he won’t be quitting acting, he plans to be more selective with his projects. He recently worked on One Battle After Another, a new film by writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson, whom he has long admired.
The Pursuit of Lasting Art
DiCaprio expressed that for him, a film’s lasting artistic value is more important than awards or box office success. He described Anderson’s films as pieces of art that “ruminate in my mind” and become “conversation pieces.” The actor stated that creating these types of films is what he and other actors strive for. One Battle After Another has already received positive reviews, with legendary director Steven Spielberg calling it “an insane movie” with incredible action.
