Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone celebrated her daughter Dua’s first birthday by baking a homemade chocolate cake. Taking to Instagram, Padukone shared a picture of her creation with the caption, “My love language? Baking a cake for my daughter’s first birthday!”
A Prayer Answered
Dua, whose name means “a prayer,” was born on September 8, 2024, to Padukone and her husband, actor Ranveer Singh. The couple announced their daughter’s name during Diwali last year, calling her “the answer to our prayers.” While they have been careful to keep Dua out of the public eye, they have chosen to share updates and moments from her life on their own terms.
Looking Ahead: Upcoming Projects
Both parents have new films on the horizon. Deepika Padukone will next appear in director Atlee’s sci-fi film, tentatively titled AA22 x A6, starring Allu Arjun. Her husband, Ranveer Singh, is set to star in Aditya Dhar’s upcoming film, Dhurandhar, which is scheduled for release on December 5, 2025.
