Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL), marking the end of his career in the franchise league. In a post on X, the off-spinner thanked the BCCI and the IPL for the “wonderful memories and relationships” he built over the years. Ashwin was most recently a member of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who picked him up at the 2025 mega auction for Rs 97.5 million. He leaves the IPL as the fifth-highest wicket-taker in the league’s history.
